Jonny Allen

Area Manager

I joined Premium Country Pubs as a Deputy Manager at The Deer Park in Leeds. Prior to this, I’d held several businesses in the North before my first appointment at The Devon Doorway in 2012. After 4 years during which time I’d managed to consistently beat sales targets, while also enhancing the profit budget year on year. This success was achieved alongside the juggling of other projects for the brand, and also maintaining a focus on my own personal development.

In 2016, I took control of my first district as an area manager, managing the North for Premium Country Pubs. After a very successful year with increasing sales, I was appointed permanently in 2017 — I haven’t looked back since!

I love Premium Country Pubs, from its foundations as the first scale premium pub concept in the country, to the people that continue to make it a success today; I remember in my early days at PCP the warmth that our our pubs generated, and I’m proud that it continues to blossom to this day.

It’s a joy to work for a brand where you can continue to learn, develop and grow. Our teams are made up of honest people, who genuinely care about our guests and pubs – it’s what makes our brand one of a kind.

District Trainer & Deputy Manager

I began my career with Premium Country Pubs 8 years ago. Initially, i worked as part of the kitchen team at The Swan in Broadway, before moving into a front of house role. I loved interacting with the guests, building friendships with other team members, and was proud to serve good quality food.

I chose to develop my career with Premium Country Pubs, and became a deputy manager at the Langton in Cheltenham. Working for such a large company has given me the opportunity to work across the country, and have gained experience in a wide variety of businesses from city centre locations to very rural country pubs.

I work as a district trainer, which means that I’m currently based across 2 districts that stretch from Cardiff, Birmingham, Beaconsfield and Berkshire. I love the role, and it enables me to work with the best people, and support their development and growth through any tough moments at new site openings, or during periods of investment and remodelling.

One of my favourite responsibilities is that I’m able help to support the launch of new menus, and attend wine and cocktail training — what’s not to love?

Paul Herrington

General Manager

I started my career with Premium Country Pubs just over 8 years ago, joining The White Swan in Edgbaston as an assistant manager. Over the next two years, I developed into a general manager position, and moved on to The Lyttelton Arms in Hagley. I enjoyed great success there, and oversaw a number of amazing summer events that have positively influenced the brand as a whole, with several of our businesses now holding similar events across the summer months.

Most recently, I have joined the team at the Queen & Castle, Kenilworth as general manager. Having previously worked in a Rosette classified restaurant, I’m passionate about delivering impeccably high standards, and Premium Country Pubs has allowed me to continue this approach to quality, while also ensuring that my teams do the same.

I’ve had many great opportunities and experiences during my time with PCP, such as being treated to champagne gifts, and also a ‘money can’t buy’ trip, which was achieved for delivering the best turnover in the brand.

The best part about working for Premium Country Pubs is the network of great people that work throughout the brand. Our brand director, area managers, finance team, and training team all have experience of working in pubs, and as a result are not only focused but focused on supporting the teams that work within the pubs. I’m looking forward to what the future holds for Premium Country Pubs!
